A Canva alternative for work that goes beyond a single design

Evaluate DEXTR for connected creative projects: brand assets, landing pages, presentations, video and AI-assisted mockups.

Start with a campaign, not a template

A campaign usually needs a family of outputs: an announcement, a landing page, a short video, a presentation and follow-up material. The hard part is often keeping the message and visual identity consistent as each output changes.

DEXTR is a creative studio to consider when you want to develop those pieces in one working environment, with editing tools and an AI-assisted process. Start with a small campaign and check how comfortably the workflow fits your team.

Compare fairly

Canva’s Visual Suite covers a broad range of design and collaboration work. A useful comparison is not “templates versus AI”: both the tools and their capabilities continue to evolve. Compare the exact formats, editing controls, collaboration needs and export options your campaign requires.

Check current plan limits directly with each provider. This guide does not assume that a feature available in one plan is available in every other plan, or that one product replaces every specialised tool.

Keep the creative brief connected

Write a brief containing the audience, one message, the action you want people to take and the required outputs. Prepare approved copy and source images before generating variants. In DEXTR, use that brief to guide the page design and supporting creative material, then review each result yourself.

For example, a retreat launch can begin with a clear landing page and branch into a brochure, social assets and a participant welcome pack. Our retreat marketing checklist describes what each piece should communicate.

Test the workflow end to end

  • Create a landing page with real copy and a clear next step.
  • Adapt the same visual direction to a presentation and social image.
  • Check legibility at the actual display size.
  • Share a reviewable version and collect precise feedback.
  • Confirm the final file format and destination before publishing.

The Reclaw example shows another kind of connected project: a homepage, product screens and a hosted feedback experience. If your work centres on interface design, use our Figma evaluation guide alongside this one.
